Mission Statement: To provide health care for those who can not provide for themselves.
5 Founding Principles:
Maternity care, Children's health, Training and education of Afghans, Afghans for Afghans, Sustainability
1.) Afshar Hospital - 100 bed District Hospital, Kabul Afghanistan that sees approximately 3000 patients a month. The hospital has an Urgent care, Ambulance, Clinic, Surgical services, In patient services, Labor and Delivery (approximately 300 deliveries annually), performs C-sections, and is opening a Neonatal Nursery in February 2012.
2.) Three year Family Medicine - Primary Care Residency Program for Afghan Physicians taught by US Board Certified MDs/Hope Partnerships International - 15 Residents in program (5 females) first graduating class July 2012.
3.) Ferozkoh Family Health Center (FFHC) - Turquoise Mountain, Kabul. Seeing approximately 400 patients per month. Collaborating w/John Hopkins Empowerment Group on Community Health Workers project.
4.) Mobile Clinic that rotates to 4 areas each week in District 13 of Kabul including Dashte Barchi (Refugee Camp).
5.) Clinic at Ashiana Orphanage to open in January 2012 - 6000 registered orphans
