Welcome!

The Volunteers for Prosperity Service Incentive Program (VFPServe) is a public-private partnership of the Office of Volunteers for Prosperity (VFP) at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), highly skilled American professionals and U.S. non governmental organizations (NGOs). The program is implemented through a partnership with the GlobalGiving Foundation (GlobalGiving) and aims to improve the affordability of short-term international volunteering through matching grants for individuals volunteering in USAID priority sectors.

How it Works

VFPServe provides grants to U.S. partner organizations to assist highly skilled Americans who wish to volunteer abroad. VFPServe grants (ranging from $500 to $1000) are individual, non-renewable and are designated to offset travel and living expenses while on volunteer assignments abroad. VFP will provide a dollar for dollar match for funds raised by volunteers up to a $1000. Volunteer assignments are supervised by U.S. non-profits affiliated with the VFPServe Program.

Get Involved

VFPServe offers you several ways to get involved.

  • Donations to the VFPServe General Fund provide the matching monies that will be awarded to partner organizations.
  • Have you thought about serving those in need around the world with your time and talent? If so, consider applying for a volunteer assignment through the VFP Office's network of affiliate organizations.
  • Would you like to help someone you know qualify for a matching grant from the VFPServ General Fund? Then consider a direct donation in support of volunteerism.
