A happy young girl attending school.

This young girl has been rescued from bonded servitude. She is so happy to be home with her family and attending school instead of being forced into bonded labor.

Young girl being sent away in bonded servitude

Look how unhappy this little girl is. She is about to be sent away to an unknown place. NYOF will rescue this girl and allow her to stay with her family, and receive an education.

Young girls sold into bonded servitude.

These young girls are about to board a bus which will take them away from their families and village. They will be forced to work from dawn until dusk. NYOF will rescue these girls and provide them with an education. They are the first girls in their families to be educated. This is the only way to break the cycle of poverty.

Little girls who have been sold into bonded servit

These will be the first girls in their families to receive an education. Educated women marry later in life, practice birth control, take better care of their families, and realize the value of educating their children.

Young Girl with Goat = The Answer to a Lifetime of

The average annual income in Nepal is only $200. The families don't want to sell their daughters, but they cannot feed their other children without the $50 they receive for their daughters. NYOF gives each family a goat which they can raise on food scraps and sell for more than they would have received for their daughters. NYOF provides these young girls with an education through 10th grade (U.S. high school equivalent).

Girls, newly rescued, happily on their way to scho

These young girls are happily on their way to school instead of being sold into bondage. They will receive an education and be able to make a difference in their lives.

Young Girl Educating Mothers on Children's Rights

Because most of the villages are illiterate, it is most effective to have the rescued girls who have been previously sold into bondage explain the dangers to the mothers. The girls know first hand how abusive the situation is, and why the mothers should not allow their young girls to be subjected to this custom.

New School House that replaced old cow shed

These children previously studied in an open cow shed. They now have a new school house in which to study. NYOF enlarges and builds schools while instrucing teachers.

Girls Protesting Against Being Sold into Bondage w

These young girls are marching to bring awareness to their campaign against being sold into bondage.

Newly freed young girls receiving an education

NYOF is providing an education to these newly freed young girls. They will be the first girls in their families to receive an education.
