Organization's Mission

The mission of Oasis For Girls is to provide a safe space where girls and young women are inspired and empowered to become strong and creative leaders by providing culturally relevant and gender specific Arts and Arts Education, Leadership Development, and Life Skills Education to support the growth of low-income, immigrant and young women of color in urban communities. Girls have access to resources and supporters to grow and develop skills to empower lives.

Organization's Programs

1.The Life-Skills Education Division: Rise is a life-skills program fostering girls’ appreciation of healthy behaviors. Girl 2 Girl builds leadership through critical thinking for middle-school girls. 2.The Young Women’s Leadership Institute is a social/political awareness program that provides young women with training to build their capacity to effect social and political change. 3.The Studio Oasis Arts Initiative supports the creative ideas of our girls through multimedia education and action
