Homelessness is a global issue affecting every nation on the planet with an estimated one billion people currently homeless in our world today. What is needed in addition to aid and housing are fresh, innovative solutions that put the homeless person themselves at the center of the solution, empowering them to take responsibility for and change their own lives and their communities.

The Homeless World Cup is a unique, pioneering social enterprise which exists to end homelessness. It uses football to energise homeless people to change their own lives.
The person suffering exclusion on the margins becomes part of a team, adopts a routine, healthy lifestyle, self respect, and are trained in coaching skills. They change their life and become leaders working with more homeless people to change. |

Over 70% of players participating have significantly changed their lives for the better. There are now programmes operating in 64 nations reaching 30,000 homeless people annually. Homeless players are now coaches, leaders changing their communities. |
