Lack of clean water is a huge problem worldwide, affecting health, economics, and education. Roughly 2.2 million to 5 million people die per year from water-borne diseases. In Vietnam they are among the leading killers and responsible for absenteeism at work and school. EMW will build water systems in 3 poor villages in central Vietnam, providing residents with clean water piped directly into their homes. This will reduce the incidence of water-borne diseases and greatly improve overall health.

|
1) Construct a clean water & sanitation systemwith direct connections to houses; 2) Train locally-elected water managers & project management board on maintenance; 3) Carry out hygiene and sanitation awareness program. |

This project will improvequality of life & health for over 13,000 people, reduce serious childhood waterborne diseases in the villages by up to 80%, increase family incomes, & improve student academic performance. |

Our family was sick constantly, especially the children. The new EMW water system changed our lives; we're healthy now and can go to work and school. We can finally give our children a better future!
