Project duration: Ongoing
Project's area of focus: Self-education through experience; for truly embracing democracy, equality and coexistence.

This project addresses the Jewish-Muslim coexistence challenge in the Galilee. The existing ignorance of 'the other', enabling prejudices and fears, makes conflicts possible.
Participants from neighboring communities, engaged in on-going deep and positive interaction self-educate to replace negative attitudes by mutual understanding, respect and trust. The group develops into a "mini-community" modeling the desired inter-communal relations, growing gradually to include the larger communities.

We bring together educators, students and parents, from Jewish and Muslim schools, for exchange around issues of their religious traditions. This ensures safe, deep and positive interaction, creating strong bonds between Jewish and Muslim communities |
The project creates an ongoing joint community of 1,000 Jews and Muslims. Thanks to working through schools they include people from all parts of society. This group works to generate the transformation of 70,000 people of their larger communities. |

Coming back to my family sharing my new connection, I found myself talking emotionally we managed to educate our children and ourselves we succeed more and more to bring hearts together.

The IEA works to promote real coexistence and human peace in the Holy Land and the Middle East through interactive inter-religious dialogue. We believe that, rather than being the cause of the problem; religion can and should be a source of solution for conflicts in the region and beyond. We do not believe in blending all traditions into one undifferentiated group, but in providing a table where all can come and sit in safety and ease, while being fully who they are in their respective religions
