Do you feel passionately about the social entrepreneurship and international development sectors? Are you looking for a challenging work experience? GlobalGiving connects social entrepreneurs and grassroots organizations with individuals, corporations, and institutions that have an interest in supporting and fueling significant social impact. Since 2002, GlobalGiving has raised $163,731,789 from 421,280 donors who have supported 11,634 projects. For more information, browse our site, find a project that you care about, and see the change that you can make possible.
If you do, I'm Mari, the co-founder and president of GlobalGiving, and I'm looking for someone who also self-identifies with the phrase "a research and writing machine". If you know how to track down data, facts, and citations like nobody else, and take pride in crafting clear prose into well-structured arguments, I'd love to hear from you. You don't need to be studying international development for this internship--although it wouldn't hurt--but you will need to turn in a CV and a writing sample that represents your best work to date in persuasive writing.
This internship is unpaid, and I'm looking for someone who can make a minimum commitment of 4 weeks. More is better.
How to apply:
Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume and a writing sample to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include "Research and Writing Machine" in the subject line of your submission and let us know how you learned of the position.
We look forward to hearing from you! In the meantime, find out why The Muse calls GlobalGiving an inspiring place to work!
