GlobalGiving.org, an online marketplace for international grassroots charities, is looking for a Development Assistant Intern. We're looking for someone who loves to dig into research and investigate an opportunity from every angle and who will relish the opportunity to support a growing organization and a dynamic team. The Development Assistant Intern reports to the Senior Development Manager. The intern will support our Growth Capital Initiative for funding growth strategies. He or she will help form the network for our "Collective Impact."
In addition to the hands-on learning you will gain from the tasks above, you will also benefit from a week-long training program on nonprofit operations, international aid and philanthropy. This training will be supplemented by regular coaching from management and mentorship opportunities with senior leadership. Such opportunities include lunch with the Founder and President, a brown bag career development session led by the CEO of The Whittle Group, and an opportunity to present and receive input from the Executive team on your college or grad-level thesis. You may also use your internship opportunity to learn one of 24 foreign languages at your own pace and for free. And the list goes on…
We ask that you come hungry for a great experience, ready to learn and to grow. Strong preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate solid analytical skills, superior time management and multi-tasking ability, great attention to detail with uncompromising quality of work, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional research skills and unquenchable curiosity are your tools for success. Oh, and we also want you to feel as passionately as we do about our mission. Recent college graduates and students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, international studies, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
